A self-gravitating steady-state model is considered for a finite axisymmetric stellar system with phase density. Oort's truncation of the velocity distribution is assumed to exist everywhere in the system. It is shown that a solution can be obtained in the form of a power series for the potential and the phase density. The alpha parameter of the series is estimated on the basis of velocity-distribution data contained in the catalog of Woolley et al. (1970).
