The Martian triaxial ellipsoid, approximating areoid (analogous to the earth's geoid), and Clairaut spheroid are constructed using the Stokes constants of Mars obtained from Mariner-9 tracking data. The value of the gravitational potential is calculated together with the distribution of the gravitational force on the ellipsoid. The average moment of inertia is obtained, and dynamic flattening of the planet is analyzed. It is shown that the dynamic flattening of Mars is equal to its geometric flattening.
