An optical spectrum of the extreme ultraviolet source EUVE J1439+75.0 revealed a new unresolved double degenerate system. The system is composed of two hot white dwarfs (T_eff>=20,000 K), one magnetic (< B> ~10MG) and the other apparently non-magnetic. Surface gravity measurements imply masses of ~1.0 and ~0.9M_&sun; for the magnetic and non-magnetic white dwarfs, respectively. We propose to obtain a series of high-resolution spectra and radial velocity measurements in an attempt to uncover evidence of past interactions and clarify its current status as a potential precursor of a type-Ia supernova.
