Repeated scans at approximately 0.2-A resolution have been obtained of the 1100 A spectral region of 8 bright beta Cep stars. The data reveal simultaneous light and velocity changes which, under the assumption of radial pulsation, can be related to surface area and temperature change. The star alpha Lup shows different behavior for different lines, and the line profile variations. New orbital parameters are derived for alpha Vir from its UV spectrum, and large line profile changes are seen in high resolution data.
