The yield of the isotopes of Li, Be and B (L isotopes) through cosmic particle bombardment of the interstellar gas is reexamined in detail in the light of the most recent data on nuclear cross sections and elemental abundances. The possibility that Li-7 is produced by low energy cosmic rays in interstellar space or in supernova remnants is investigated.
