A simple anisotropic nonrotating Newtonian cosmological model is developed using modified expansion functions. Raychaudhuri's equation is obtained as the evolutionary equation, and the model is applied to the Coma supercluster. The distribution of matter predicted by the anisotropic model is found to produce a redshift variation of about 280 percent in comparison with the value obtained for an isotropic model.
