The 47 unidentified interstellar absorption lines between 1006 and 1318 A in the spectrum of Zeta Oph have been reviewed using new data on the high levels of C I, recent observations of HD in the two lowest rotational levels, and a further analysis of the H2 spectrum. C I can account for 23 of the lines, and HD and H2 for four more. Another feature was found to be spurious, so that 19 now remain unidentified after consideration of all available data on wavelengths and energy levels of plausible atoms or molecules. Six of the lines left in Zeta Oph have counterparts in other stars. Oscillator strengths have been derived for the new C I lines.
