Unusual telescopes are discussed, whereby entire celestial bodies (the moon, sun, and earth) are used as parts of them. The operation of such "space lenses' is described, and the astronomical investigations in the radio and X-ray bands carried out with them are explained. Part of the discussion is devoted to the lenslife effect of the gravitational fields of the sun and stars.
