Neutron-capture cross sections were measured for Os-186 and Os-187 in the energy range up to about 150 keV, corresponding to stellar temperatures up to about 1.8 billion K. These cross sections are used to calibrate the Re-187 to Os-187 nuclear beta-decay clock suggested by Clayton (1964). The age of the Universe determined by the Re-Os clock is about 19.6 billion years.
