The stellar content of the ROSAT all sky survey and the analysis of the data are addressed. The total number of X-ray sources is expected to be around 60,000. Preliminary results are discussed. The X-ray emitting late type stars are commonly referred to as 'active' stars, and the ROSAT catalog will comprise the most extensive list of such objects. The scatter of active and inactive stars, X-ray observations of young galactic clusters, PSPC (Position Sensitive Proportional Counter) pulse height spectra of active stars, and all sky survey lightcurves of stellar coronae, are discussed.
