Meteor wind measurements performed by the Garchy-Sens Beaujeu radar and those performed by Kinesonde spaced antennas (jointly conducted during January-April 1970) are compared. Thirty-nine cases were examined in which a sufficient meteor wind sample (10-25 meteors) was centered in height and time on the estimated location of a Kinesonde measurement. Each case yielded estimates of the mean eastward wind, and of the standard deviation and standard error of estimating the eastward wind. Correlation analysis of spaced-antenna, spaced-frequency echo fading yielded a mean velocity vector and a velocity correloid (a measure of the correlation scale of random velocity) for the Kinesonde measurements.
