Carbon and hydrogen radio recombination lines from 10 H II regions have been observed with the Arecibo 1000-foot (305-m) telescope. Eight of the carbon lines were first detections, and four of the lines were narrow, with widths less than 5 km/s. The carbon line emission is stimulated, at least for the sources W48 and S88, and limits on the electron temperature and density are derived. Pressure broadening was detected in two H167-alpha lines.
