Mapping of M17 SW reveals two regions of water vapor emission separated by about 2 minutes. Both regions have multiple emission components with intensities that vary with time. In one case variations that occur in a period as short as 10 days are observed. The continuum emission at 22 GHz toward M17 has also been mapped and the relationship of the continuum emission to the positions of the water masers, the molecular cloud, and various infrared sources associated with the nebula is examined. A weak, previously undetected, discrete continuum source is found to be coincident in angle with a CO bright spot and a far-infrared source about 10 minutes north of the bright H II region.
