Universe: Dark Matter
Scientific paper
The authors consider the cosmological consequences of the gauge theory of the broken symmetry of the generations of SU(3)H with an additional global symmetry of the Peccei-Quinn type U(1)H. In view of the presence of the archion [the Goldstone boson with the properties of the axion (or arion), the familon, and the Majoron], the Majorana neutrino masses, and neutrino transitions with the archion emission, this model provides a unifying physical basis for the description of all forms of dark matter used in modern theories of the formation of the structure of the Universe. These forms of dark matter are reproduced successively with variation of the scale v1 of the U(1)H symmetry breaking: (a) cold dark matter in the form of a coherent oscillation of the primordial axion field; (b) hot dark matter in the form of stable neutrinos; (c) four possibilities for unstable dark matter in the form of unstable neutrinos with dominance of their relativistic or nonrelativistic decay products in the present-day universe. The possibilties of the early neutrino decays ντ → νμa with the subsequent decays νμ → νea, which may take place for the lowest possible scale of the generation symmetry breaking v1 ≡ 106GeV, are of special interest.
