The time-dependence of eccentricities for fictitious asteroids initially located at the 5:2 Jovian commensurability is presently investigated via numerical solutions of the full equations of the sun-Jupiter-asteroid three-body problem. Attention is given to regions of the initial values of semimajor axes and eccentricities for which the fictitious asteroids were Mars- and earth-crossers. The range in which asteroids cross Mars approximates that of real asteroids. Relationships between periods of asteroidal variations in eccentricity, inclination, perihelion, and ascending node, are presented for fictitious asteroids with small initial eccentricities and inclinations.
