The method and results of calculation of the spectral characteristics by applying gyro-synchrotron emission to solar microwave burst spectra are presented. The expressions suitable for computation are derived for the frequency at the peak flux density, the spectral index at the high frequency end, and for the spectra in low frequency range. Comparing the calculated spectral characteristics with the observed ones, one can obtain various parameters of the radio sources. From his calculation, the author suggests a new interpretation of the decrease of flux density in the low frequency range of solar microwave burst spectra as being caused by the inhomogeneity of magnetic field and the confinement of radio source.
