Scientific paper

The authors present 22 hr of high-speed photometric observations of HR
714 and 7 hr of HD 51684. Under a restricted definition of the term
'constant', these stars were constant to s = 0.26 mmag and s = 0.40 mmag
respectively in the frequency range 4 hr-1 ≤ f ≤ 84
hr-1. The parameter s is defined in this paper.
