It was shown for the ascending branches of the theoretical curves of the intensity distribution of meteoric radiation that the transition to the rho I model lessened the systematic deviation of the observed meteoric radiation curves. Use of the rho I model was found to improve the agreement between theoretical data on the appearance altitudes of meteors and observed data. In the rho I model, the intensity of the meteor radiation at the point of maximum light was not required to correspond to the maximum rate of meteoroid evaporation. Also noted was the disagreement between the theoretical curve of the relative intensity distribution and the generally accepted equation for the curve of radiation from a meteor/intensity of meteor radiation.
