Charged-particle acceleration in the neighborhood of high-speed
solar-wind streams is investigated. The space distribution and energy
spectrum of particles accelerated by the friction mechanism suggested
previously are determined, and the particle intensity is estimated. The
results agree closely with available experimental data.
