We will present early results on the water molecule detected in
absorption as part of the Herschel Guaranteed Time Key Progamme PRISMAS.
We will discuss water abundance and its correlation with other molecules
in the diffuse Galactic ISM, and to what extent the ortho-to-para ratio
along the PRISMAS lines of sight departs from the standard value of 3.
