We explore the distribution and the effects on the star formation of the gas and dust present in NGC 3934. The galaxy is in a small nearby group and has undergone a recent merge that gives the appearance of a polar ring. It is very rich in molecular gas (˜ 1010 M_&sun;) and possess also a heavy and chaotic shell system. We discuss by means of our GALEX images the star formation history of the whole group.
