In /1/, we have discussed the question whether Kopal's iterative method of solving eclipsing binary orbits is always convergent. In this paper, we show, by means of an example, that, even when the solution is convergent, it may not be the true solution but a false one. Through calculations, we empirically identify the circumstances in which Kopal's method will either be divergent or lead to a false solution. We also make an improvement on the optimization procedure in /1/.
