Radio observations are presented which show that the star P Cyg has generated an arc-shaped emission complex. The radiation is most likely of nonthermal origin. In a somewhat speculative interpretation it is proposed that P Cyg has ejected material in a preferential plane. Streaming motion of these ejected gases against the surrounding interstellar medium has given rise to a bow-wave type shock front in which a sufficient number of particles can be accelerated to relativistic velocities.
