Photometric and spectroscopic data, including B and V light curves and color curves, are presented for the supernovae 1978e in MCG 6-49-36, 1979b in NGC 3913, and 1979c in NGC 4321 (M100). It is found that 1978e and 1979b are Type I supernovae, while 1979c is a Type II supernova with an almost linear decline. Distances and absolute magnitudes are determined. The supernovae 1979b and 1979c are shown to be among the brightest members of their types, both having an absolute B magnitude of about -19.
