The analytical solution to the equations of tidal evolution for an equatorial circular orbit of a mass point around a tidally deformed triaxial body is presented. The slowing down of the rotation of the body due to momentum transfer to the revolving point is taken into account. Effect of resonances is briefly investigated using non-singular variables.
