Observations of the symbiotic star CH Cygni were made in June 1984. The "flickering" of the star on timescales of a few minutes reported in some previous years were seen. The polarization behavior was most unusual, being relatively high (0.5% in U and I), but showing a remarkable wavelength dependence with a minimum in the V and R bands of 0.2%. The position angle of polarization changed abruptly from 41 degrees in the U and B bands to 118 degrees in the I band. The degree of polarization was variable in both the U and I bands with an amplitude of 0.08% on timescales similar to the photometric flickering. The origin of the polarization is not yet understood.
