The phase dependence of the absolute reflectivity of the southern equatorial region of Saturn was investigated in five spectral regions between 0.32 and 0.595. The absolute reflectivity measurements were derived from photoelectric photometer observations carried out from 1977 to 1981 using the 60-cm reflector telescope of the Mt. Maidanak observatory. Separate sections of the spectrum from 0.3-0.8 microns were isolated using 13 interference filters. On the basis of the photometric data, it is found that the actual variation of absolute reflectivity in Saturn's cloud layer varied from 6 percent at 0.457 microns to 10 percent at 0.047 microns in the southern equatorial region.
