The isoelectronic extrapolation procedure proposed by Pradhan is shown to be invalid since it is based on a paper by Reilman and Manson which contains a printing error. Likewise, the rate coefficients presented by Woods, Shull, and Sarazin for radiative recombination to form Fe+22 and Fe+23 are incorrect. A simple Zdependent formula is given which reproduces to within 2% the threshold photoionization cross-sections of Reilman and Manson for the lithium sequence, and a modified form of Pradhan's formula for the radiative recombination rate coefficient is thereby obtained.
