An overview of infrard studies of OH/IR stars in the Galactic Centre is presented. From modelling of the observed Spectral Energy Distributions we find that the mass loss rates range from 10-6 to 10-4 Msolar/yr. The averaged Mbol ranges from -5.5 to -4 mag. The OH/IR stars fall predominantly below the Mira PL-relation. There is a large overlap in luminosities between the kinematically different groups of OH/IR stars. The metallicities however are likely to be different.
