Due to the redshifting of scales during inflationary cosmology, scales which are probed by cosmological observations today had a physical wavelength smaller than the Planck length during the early stages of the inflationary phase. Hence, inflation provides a window to probe trans-Planckian physics with current observations. I will illustrate this in terms of some toy models.
