The Kelvin-Helmholtz instability of a plasma comet tail characterized by helical velocity and magnetic fields is investigated. It is found that helicity stabilizes the long wavelength modes, and that at a given wavelength, an increase in helicity decreases the growth rates. For the case of instability, the growth rate is shown to increase as wavelength decreases, while the phase velocity is shown to decrease.
