Radio occultation performed with the Venera 15 and 16 probes was used to study 42 polar and near-polar regions of Venus. Data were obtained on the latitudinal dependences of the tropopause height, temperature inversions, temperature at the 1-bar level, and the tropopause temperature. The results obtained are compared with Pioneer-Venus findings.
