Recent optical, near-infrared, and IRAS observations of the nebular structure around the 41-day Cepheid RS Puppis are reviewed. The structure is found to display successive shells which, at any rate in the optical range, mirror the light variations of the central star. Expanding shell models were used by Deasy (1988) to obtain mass values of about 0.045, 0.073, and 0.044 solar massses for the three principal shells of RS Puppis.
