Spectrograms obtained with a Carnegie image tube have been used to determine the radial velocities of 50 of the 52 galaxies (a homogeneous sample) 5-13 degrees west of the center of the Coma cluster. The data of the homogeneous sample has been used to derive the average surface density of galaxies against distance from the cluster center. The outer radius of the Coma cluster is determined to be 32 Mpc, making it one of the largest known celestial entities.
