Analysis of all-sky maps made by OSO-7 during scanning of the region within about 10 deg of galactic center has led to the discovery of X-ray sources near the globular cluster NGC6440. The most intense of these, MX1746-60, is highly variable on time scales of months. Its counterpart, NGC6440, is concentrated, supporting theories of globular cluster X-ray emission requiring high central densities to encourage formation of binary systems. X-ray flux data for MX1746-60 are given.
