This new detailed analysis of the high-velocity giant HD 6497 (K 2 III) shows the importance of using really weak lines in abundance determinations. The present analysis has been performed from curves of growth enriched in weak-lines. HD 6497 is found normal in iron-content in contrast of some previous determinations. This finding raises questions regarding the star's membership in the Arcturus moving group.
