Bretagnon's VSOP 82 theory is compared with observations of Uranus in the period 1782 - 1982. Mean residuals in longitude and latitude for each opposition of Uranus are calculated. Small corrections to the orbital elements are found by a least squares analysis with a Keplerian model. Spectral analysis is also considered, leading to significant periodicities.
