It is demonstrated that the equation for the transfer of polarized radiation in inhomogeneous media expressed in terms of Stokes parameters proportional to energy flux can be taken to be the same as that in homogeneous media provided that the generalized Faraday rotation length-scale and the scale-length of the plasma are much greater than the wavelength of the radiation. A simple example is discussed to illustrate the behavior.
