MAXI/GSC detected renewed activity from the Galactic black hole candidate H 1743-322 on December 22, 2011 (MJD 55917) with a flux of 29±8 mCrab in the 4-10 keV band. The source was slightly visible in an image on December 19, but solar X-rays and invisible areas of detectors did not allow us to confirm the source activity until December 22. The 2-20 keV flux has increased since December 22, and the spectrum became soft on December 31.
