Existing spectrophotometric data for Nova DQ Herculis 1934, spanning virtually its entire postoutburst history, reveal a time dependence of the inferred nebular composition. The observed trends may suggest that the intrinsic carbon abundance is log C/H approximately equal to -1.7, and that the nebula has grown progressively cooler over the past 45 yr. The presence of a source of hard radiation in the DQ Herculis system is suggested.
