Within the framework of special relativity, the exact form is obtained of the interior and exterior electromagnetic fields occurring when an infinitely conducting fluid with a spherical boundary and rotating with constant angular velocity is placed in an originally uniform magnetic field aligned along the rotation axis. Some magnetohydrodynamical aspects of the problem are also discussed.
