The physical and chemical evolution of protoplanetary matter can be understood through the study of the thermal conditions in a protoplanetary gas-disk dust. The kinetics of chemical reactions, the condensation and evaporation of matter, the efficiency of dust particle amalgamation during collisions, and the thermal conditions inside planetesimals are all strongly dependent on temperature. Thermal models of a disk are constructed on the basis of dynamic models in which the surface density distribution is found.
