The dynamics and morphology of PN are investigated theoretically, modeling the current distribution as a Beltrami flow, closely related to the spheromak plasma configuration described by Rosenbluth and Bussac (1979) and Taylor (1986). The simulation results are presented graphically and compared with images of different types of PN. The spheromak model is shown to predict both the spatial structure and the velocity distribution of PN (e.g., the proper motion of the filaments of the Helix nebula).
