A large fraction of Galactic globular clusters are relics of the early phase of the Galaxy formation, and for this reason they are the witnesses of the entire history of the Galaxy. In this framework I briefly discuss how the study of these stellar systems can contribute to answer a few fundamental questions, namely: (1) When did the Galaxy form? (2) How much did accretion events contribute to form the present Halo population? (3) Are all the Halo clusters genuine globular?
