This proposal addresses the procedures for the first high-voltage ramp-up of the FUV and NUV MAMA detectors, which will occur 60 days after the release of HST. The adopted approach is to bring up the FUV MAMA first, to 300 V below the nominal MCP operating voltage, take a dark, and then ramp the detector down to 0 Volts. If the telemetry and image data are satisfactory, 2 days later the detector will be slowly ramped up to its full operating voltage. A dark frame and a flat will be obtained to check nominal imaging performance and then the detector will be ramped down again. The NUV MAMA will then be ramped to 300 V below the nominal MCP operating voltage and 100 V across the PC-MCP gap. A dark frame will be taken, and then the detector will be ramped down to 0 Volts. If the telemetry and image data are satisfactory, 2 days later the NUV detector will be slowly ramped up to it s full operating voltage. A dark frame and a flat will be obtained to verify nominal imaging performance.
