Possible processes of the magnetic field generation in celestial objects are analysed. It is shown that in some cases the processes different from the dynamo are effective. Meridianal circulations can produce the field in the hot O and B stars. The "battery" process may be effective for the chemically inhomogeneous peculiar Cp stars. The possible inhomogeneities on the Earth core-mantle boundary may be important for the terrestrial magnetism. The thermomagnetic instability creates field in white dwarfs and neutron stars. The mutual induction may lead to the field amplification in close binary stellar systems. It seems that along with the relict field and dynamo actions the above mentioned processes may be important for the field generation.
