The problem of the nature of hidden (missing) mass is discussed by means of recently investigated dwarf galaxies. An upper limit on the mass of the objects the hidden mass consists of is obtained which seems to exclude the possibility that the hidden mass is constituted of stars being on the late stages of their evolution - white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes.
