We have made a new automated survey for high proper motion ((mu) > 0.5"/yr) stars in the southern sky. Our survey covers ~3000 square degrees and reaches R ~20, B_J~22 and I ~19. Using the technique of reduced proper motion, we have identified a sample of 34 stars with colors and large reduced proper motions characteristic of extreme subdwarfs, M-dwarfs or cool Halo white dwarfs. Optical spectra are now sought for all these stars in order to identify a clean sample of Halo WDs. This survey will then yield the first quantifiably complete census of such extremely cool, old Halo WDs. It will settle the current debate concerning the possibility that cool WDs are the cause of the microlensing events observed in our own Galaxy's Halo, and will accurately measure the fraction of the Halo missing mass that resides in such stellar remnants.
