Proper motions and photographic photometry have been obtained for 672 stars in the region of the globular cluster M22. Nearly all stars discussed as members in various spectroscopic studies of this cluster are confirmed as members by means of the proper motions. The cluster internal velocity dispersion is clearly seen in the proper motions and is isotropic in the limited region observed here. The astrometric distance to the cluster agrees well with that derived by assuming horizontal branch M(v) = 0.6. The cluster space velocity is derived and shows that the cluster has recently passed through the Galactic plane.
