An exact self-consistent solution is obtained for the problem of the equilibrium of an electron-ion plasma in its own gravitational field. This solution describes the state of a positively polarized plasma with constant local polarization coefficient. It is shown that in a strong gravitational field the various ion components of the plasma will separate and become isolated from one another on account of the high potential barrier.
